The Kentuckiana Metroversity Library Council is composed of the consortium member institution libraries, the Louisville Free Public Library, the New Albany-Floyd County Public Library, and the Jeffersonville Township Public Library.

The Metroversity Institution libraries have combined holdings of

  • 2,974,155 books

  • 198,535 periodicals

  • 52,717 journals and newspapers

  • augmented by microfilms, audiovisuals, and government documents.

Other facts:

  • Attendance for 1999-2000 was 1,335,000

  • In addition the Louisville Free Public Library, the Jeffersonville Township Public Library, and the New Albany-Floyd County Public Library have 2,024,711 holdings.

  • Attendance for the public libraries in 1999-2000 was 3,130,466.

  • The Council's Library Linking Project enables students to access card catalogues of all member institutions from any of the Council libraries. A Metroversity Courier service facilitates pickup and delivery on a daily basis at each library.
